About Me

Ken Caffey is a Missouri boy, raised in Springfield, Mo. He attended Southwest Missouri State in Springfield where he earned a BA degree and later received a master’s degree in music from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a worship pastor for nearly forty years before retiring to DeLand, Florida with his wife Jana. During his years of ministry, Ken served churches in Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and Florida. He and Jana have two daughters, one son in law, two grand dogs, and their pride and joy, a grandson named Jackson Daniel Beck. Ken and Jana love to travel and enjoy seeing more of God’s wonderful creation. Today, as when he first started ministry, he’s a follower of Christ and seeks to be a lighthouse for Him.

Ken writes under his real name for the Casey Colton Mystery series and The Divine Destiny Trilogy. However, for the children’s books called The Bird Street Bunch, he uses the name Uncle Ken because, after all, what child doesn’t enjoy hearing his or her uncle tell a story?

“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:5-10
